Exercise 1: Conversation exercise

Instruction:

  1. Czy możesz wymienić pory roku i miesiące? (Can you name the seasons and months?)
  2. Jaka jest pogoda w każdej porze roku? (What is the weather like in each season?)
  3. Które miesiące należą do każdej pory roku? (Which months are in each season?)

Example phrases:

Lato składa się z trzech miesięcy: czerwca, lipca i sierpnia.

There are three months in summer: June, July, and August.

Latem jest gorąco.

In summer it is hot.

Wrzesień, październik i listopad są jesienią i często pada deszcz.

September, October, and November are in autumn, and it often rains.

Grudzień, styczeń i luty to miesiące zimowe.

December, January and February are the winter months.

Zimą czasami pada śnieg.

In the winter months it snows sometimes.

Marzec, kwiecień i maj to wiosenne miesiące, a pogoda jest świeża.

March, April and May are the spring months and the weather is fresh.

Exercise 4: Match a word

Instruction: Match the translations

W zimie lubię chodzić na długie spacery po śniegu. (In winter, I like to go for long walks in the snow.)
Wiosną często pada delikatny deszcz i jest chłodno. (In spring, there is often a light rain and it is cool.)
Latem jeżdżę nad morze, bo uwielbiam ciepłe słońce. (In summer, I go to the seaside because I love the warm sun.)
We wrześniu dzieci wracają do szkoły po wakacjach. (In September, children return to school after the holidays.)

Exercise 5: Cluster the words

Instruction: Przyporządkuj podane słowa do odpowiednich kategorii: nazwy miesięcy lub pory roku.
